    3/8" Goat Pellets

I put out some regular protein pellets & Alfalfa = Aoudad, Axis, and Blackbuck coming to the feeder.

The small protein pellets, I'll continue to put in a regular Deer Feeder just like corn . But the Alfalfa, just isn't working as good as the protein pellets.

I got a Home-Made Protein feeder I got here on TBH ... Going to try 3/8" goat pellets to see if they work better ..

Anybody ever use these .. The Good part is they are less $ than protein pellets in Academy.

Why don't you just feed deer protein that is formulated for what deer need? MG deer pellets are around $9/bag and L&E are just over $10. Or you can get the Roasted Soybeans and Corn mix for $10-11 per bag. All viable options....

Go to local feed stores for protein.

But it's the size of the pellet and they're actually cheaper than Deer Pellets and just as much Protein Content ..

I'd have to look back, put I think it's on the TDN% post about how there are ingredients in goat feed that are not good for deer. Search "goat pellets" and it will probably come up.

Cheaper than the pellets you were buying at Academy. I bet you were overpaying there

I know most goat feed has ammonium chloride in it, that helps with urinary calculi. Also, some has copper, which is bad for sheep. Not sure what either does to deer. You might try just a regular all stock feed though.
