    They Got Me Good(APD)

Got me running a red light at the corner of 290 and Mo PAC. I remember thinking that I would get a ticket as it turned red with me going under it. Here I am $75 later. I've learned 2 thing... The City of Austin sucks worse than I thought it would, and red light tickets are $$$.

So it turned red AFTER you were in the intersection?

I didn't watch the news entirely but just this weekend they had a segment on whether Austin red light fines were legal or not.

        I'd look into it.

Yea they about to ban those photos. I'll tell you what though a buddy contested some sort of ticket and missed court date and they hammered him w a failure to appear that was way more than $75!

Same thing in Lufkin. Got a pic of my TRAILER almost out of the intersection. The light was yellow when my truck entered it. It sucks but I just payed it. Don't need the hassle.

Actually the law says cities must do certain things before installing red light cameras. Austin did not do those things. Only three cities in the state did the required procedure. Fight it!

              Just found the article.

It turned red about 1/3 of the way through the light. My bad I know. I paid it. Not worth the hassle. I'm a CDL driver at work so I definitely don't need anything raising eyebrows. Luckily I was in my personal truck.

same here, I got one somewhere in e. texas, yes I ran it, about 3am raining and didn't want to slam on the brakes. I should have been going slower but I was the only thing on the road at the time. I paid $75 I believe, just not worth the hassle or get my cdl suspended for not paying it.

but I do see a lot of red light running. sometimes the light (mine) has been green for 5 seconds and drivers are still crossing the intersection, so i'm kinda torn as to remove them all or put them at every intersection.

If I was cdl driver I would fight it for sure.
