One of my favorites though are the Axis/energy focused arrows made by Easton. The shaft is thick as a normal arrow near the tip but are thinner along the rest of the shaft so the arrow has no friction till the fletching and just pass right through the animal. Has anyone else heard or shot one of these

I've been happy with my Easton Axis.

They have good weight but not too much where you have to use really heavy heads to get your FOC up.

usually the one you like best,, for me it is the axis, small diameter is superior in the wind, it has enough weight and they are strong, accurate and consistent from lot to lot

I have always used Carbon Express Maxima Hunters with no issues at all

I have shot eastons of various " flavors" hated any of the ones with the hit inserts. Bemans, carnivores, and gold tips. Have used gold tips hunters, Hunter pros, expeditions , and traditional for the longest time, no complaints. And they seem like they are more durable then the others.

This is like asking which rifle caliber is best for shooting deer. I have killed them cornbread dead with every rifle I own. Likewise with arrows...except they run further. I've used just about every arrow out there and had success with all of them. Personally, I like heavy arrows (Easton FMJ) and skinny arrows (Black Eagle Deep Impact). They fly great.

I like reasonably priced ones with extra weight up front. This year's arrows are 501grn

Going back to Gold Tips. Lol. I bought some Easton FMJs last year and shot two deer, 1 broke and one was bent. Both on clean pass throughs. Shot two javalinas and had two bent arrows. I gave them to my brother and switched back to ol' faithful.
