Best N.E. TX Fall food plot mix

For small food plots, 1/2 acre to 1 acre, sand loam soils where I am at. Any help appreciated.

Buck forage oats

A few years ago, I did turnips, nvs wheat, clover, and peas. The peas did not grow. I think it was because I just broadcast the seeds and didn't plant. This year, I planted oats, peas, cover and wheat. We will see.

Cereal rye like Maton or Elbon likes sandy soil. Only thing about it is that if it doesn't have much grazing pressure, it explodes and becomes less palatable and favorable to deer.
