Didn't show last night, nothing on the trailcam! Will take a couple of pics today, run the cam until we get something.

Armadillo or skunk, both will eat grubs or ant larvae.

Our Cairn Terrier found a half-grown cottontail in one of the holes this afternoon and terminated it. People around here keep the foxes shot out, so there are plenty of rabbits around. Hard to believe a rabbit did those tunnels, though. Will continue with the trailcam.

The last neighborhood I lived in a suburb of Houston. There were allot of rabbits but several times I had seen holes dug and covered up. They had baby rabbits in the holes. I had never seen this before.

Yep. Armadillo. These weren't holes, these were TUNNELS. Stepped outside quietly about 10 pm, there he was digging under one of our roses. I transferred him to a parallel universe with the AR. .223 55 gr. V-Max, range 20 feet. Went through him lengthwise. Just about everything came out with it... he never knew what hit him!

                    Problem solved.

My yard is fenced into the ground with a board all the way around, just to keep the armadillos out. I have extensive gardens and water gardens that I've built with one of the ponds going under the fence for the wild life to water at. I had an armadillo getting in and couldn't figure out where. I finally had to stay up all night to kill it. It was swimming under the water in the pond to get in.
