Military Son On Disaster Duty..for a while

I won't identify which one is my son, deploying very soon once more...but in the meantime he was with a select group of active soldiers asked to help curtail DAM LOOTERS by a "small town" TEXAS city Police Department in harm's way from the weather. They also performed several water rescues but shifted their focus to "those who would take advantage" at Police requests.

Let's just say there are some in this photo who have had "extensive" training that's "special," so LOOTERS beware!

At first they were "denied" access from a Texas "state police agency," but they had their orders and the request from the City PD...needless to say, even with protests they proceeded to their requested destination to "protect & serve" law abiding TEXANS! LOL, I can't put exactly how they "rectified" their mission to this law enforcement agency..would be censored by the mods!

God Love 'em....anywhere in the World they serve...but for Texas...here they are!

It's amazing what the military can participate in at the request of law enforcement. Been there done that, got the tshirt that didn't exist.

Tell them to have fun! It's just kind of awkward to get shot at on your own soil.

Good for him. My oldest son is headed south with his OK National Guard Brigade as we speak. Gonna be there at least 45 days.

He's the stud with the Army gear! I hope they clear some trash.

Fort Riley has a group that should arrive Houston shortly. They went Riley - Bliss - Hood - Houston.

Prayers up for all affected by Harvey and the ones out lending a helping hand. I just got back home yesterday after a week of being in the Rosenderg area trying to help a bit. I came back from the area with a renewed appreciation for humanity. I witnessed people helping people at just about every turn.

Thank you to all that have served in the armed forces. For those of you that are parents of ones serving please thank them for us and accept my gratitude to you folks for raising them right!!

I do know that if a person in the Texas Guard has an LTC they are allowed to carry in certain places and especially when traveling. May be something to do with the Governor's orders. I will find out more once she's off of deployment. And yes she is carrying.

My son just arrived at Fort Riley for his first duty station as MP. He graduated from Fort Lenard Wood on Thursday and we had to race home to beat Harvey to board up and leave back out of Corpus.
