John Ashbery, an enigmatic giant of modern poetry whose energy, daring and boundless command of language raised American verse to brilliant and baffling heights, died early Sunday at age 90.
I'll have to ask my mother about him. She is a member of a few poetry societies. And has been writing monthly for 20 years. And actually, a lot longer than that. Has several publishings. She is 81.
