Shout out to Harvey responders in Golden Triangle

I would like to say a big thank you to all the folks that have helped the Golden Triangle in this time of need. I talked to men from as far away as Mississippi and heard of a group from WISCONSIN!
Wednesday morning driving home from work I was amazed at how many people had already responded. A lot of LOVE from our fellow man was exhibited in so many ways. Neighbors helping neighbors.

Just wanted yall to know how much we appreciate all the help, rescues and assistance that was given.

Thank you to LEOs from all the states that participated, the military presence that was always present, the Game Wardens that showed up in packs, but most of all I would like to thank the Cajun Navy and the everyday average redblooded American that's just like the rest of us. Yall spent time away from your family, in harms way, doing it on your own dime. I really want you to know that we appreciate it!

Thanx from Calvin Ray Walker and every other SE Texan

It's been the same in south Texas. Talked to a few guys from Alabama yesterday. There's been so much help it's been amazing.

I've met guys from Del Rio, to New Mexico, Oklahoma, Florida, and everywhere in between. It's been phenomenal playing a small part in the huge cog of down home country folks who have dropped everything to head to southeast Texas to help. I've got relatives and friends in the Austin area who have been down helping the folks in south Texas. Just makes my heart swell with pride for the common man who cares enough to throw aside his regular life and rush to the side of his fellow man

A guy I go to church with, told me about the Responders from Wisconsin, they had some kind of narrow rescue boat, sounded like a technical poling skiff, that ran on propane. Pretty cool.

I have seen this whole thing with my own eyes, 48" of rain fall in a short time and I still have problems believing what I have seen.

The people have been awesome! I have seen nor heard any bad words or bad actions. Professional conduct for sure.

Had a feller brought literally a trailer load of produce to our church yesterday to give away to people....gone in about 2 hours. This whole experience has been amazing.
