I've got the itch for a new bow. Currently shoot an Elite Synergy. Was thinking Elite Option 7, bowtech reign 7, or mathews halon 32/7. I have never shot any of these and before I do was wondering everyone's thoughts on these. Never been a mathews guy but was gonna shoot one for kicks anyway. Thanks in advance

You better have money in your pocket when you shoot that Halon..... I'd buy one today if I didn't already buy a no cam HDX last year!

New bow itch

That's true. Won't know until you fling an arrow through one. Pick the brands you're interested in, have them set for your draw, make sure they are all the same draw weight, and start shooting through them. Pay attention to back wall, draw cycle, vibration on shot, weight of bow, steadiness, and anything else that is important. Be sure to let each one down and not shoot. First time I let down a bowtech I knew right away I'd never own one...

I shoot the reign 6. It is pretty sweet. I like that I can filp the disc and go from a regular draw cycle to a hard cam type draw cycle. You will pick up about 7 fps by doing that.
I just put the smack down on a Sable from 30 yards with a 530 grain arrow. It was quartered away, I hit it in the last rib and drove the arrow out of the off front shoulder.

If you can find a shop that carries the Prime (not real common in Texas ??) I don't think you will be disappointed in trying them. Obviously Matthews has been doing something right, but glad you are considering putting your hands on different makes and models.
Good luck and keep us posted with your decision.
