Despite the reputation of insurance companies in general as being crooks they provide the individual with a product the individual almost never have the means to provide for themselves....protection against a loss so substantial it would ruin most people.
Insurance companies should have a good reputation but dont because someone chose to underinsured themselves then took to the streets to claim they got hosed by the insurance company. For a relatively small premium a person can insure against total ruin, some folks like to skimp on their responsibilities for a favorable premium only to find out the hard way they screwed up. This is a really hard life lesson to learn but as an adult a person should learn from this mistake and move on instead of spreading the ( typically false ) rumor they got hosed.
When a persons house burns down they should thank their agent and company they have the means to rebuild. 1 good claim and your insurance company could not possibly recover all they paid out to that person.

You should probably find someone with at least a 1st grade education to read and explain the bill to you

You write like complete ****. I have a an 8th grader and a 4th grader and if they composed a paragraph similar to what you wrote I would be ashamed. Total disgrace. I hope you didn't show that to anyone. That might be the most poorly composed paragraph (by an adult) in this decade. You should probably just admit you're hammered. Unless you want everyone to think you are illiterate.

          actually... it can.

ask the fine folks in Wylie about filing too quickly and having to pay back to back deductibles.

Two dates of loss, separated by a claim filing will trigger that second deductible.

This should help to limit some of that nonsense, including where they liked to sue the individual adjusters if they didn't like their settlement.

            Don't believe everything you read.

AFD is correct, if the incident happened, then its recorded, you can file a month later or more, say what if this happened and you were overseas hunting, what then ..?? you can file when you return home, just like you were there...
Just like a hail storm, I have had customers file months later...

              Insurance Claims Message from TWA

              I got this today:

              Dear Policyholder,
If you and your family were affected by Hurricane Harvey, please know that we are here to help. We first want to express our sympathy for the events that are unfolding and to all of those affected by the storm.
We have a 24-hour claims line open and are committed to helping you recover as quickly as possible. We’re including that number and other resources below for your convenience, as you assess your situation.
We know firsthand how unsettling these major weather events can be. Your safety and your family’s safety are of the utmost importance to us. Our professional adjusters are ready to help you get back on track.
Important information for members concerning House Bill 1774 which will take effect September 1, 2017:
We are aware that many of our members have become concerned with the new legislation known as House Bill 1774 and how that legislation will affect your insurance claim. We feel it is important to let you know that nothing in the new legislation changes your responsibilities as a valued member in reporting your loss to the Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Companies.
HB 1774 does not change the insurance claims process. Members filing a claim with our companies after September 1, 2017 will go through the same process as they did if filing a claim before September 1, 2017.
You should report any loss you have sustained as soon as you discover the damage and are able to do so by calling our 24-hour claims reporting center at 18002665458. At that time, a first notice of loss will be created for you, an insurance claim will be opened on your policy, and your insurance claim will be assigned to an adjustor. You do not have to submit pictures of the damage to report the claim. The adjustor will be in contact with you and will conduct an inspection of your property as soon as reasonably practical, taking into account the continuing weather forecast.
