Is that a thing? I thought you had to have military clearance to see stuff like live sat feeds.

they werent real time....(far as i know) and they discontinued the maps they used to give out every cycle...
would think it would be difficult to maintain a public free live satellite cam that everyone would be using ...for different areas.......

From what I understand ( and it has been a few yrs since I have known someone with it ) the non paying folks only had access to the older pics. The more recent, current pics were available to paying folks. An issue like this would certainly have more recent ( but not live ) pics, assuming it could get through the cloud cover.

Mike: think you are correct, it cost something to have more current pics.

"Google Live" was an April fools joke this spring....

Typically, imagery is only updated every year to three.

Excellent idea but I'm not sure its real. Wish it was though!

I'm heading up in the morning to try and check on mine, Mike's and a few others from here. I'm not thinking it's going to be very Pretty! Land owner said they had 3 hours of 95 mph winds and 4 of 70+. I was going to try this afternoon but he said the water was to high.

Not sure where your place is but we are a few miles down Fleming prairie road. I'll post the results of the attempt tomorrow.
