    High End Scotch Recommendations needed!!

Well my wife is due with our 3rd kiddo in less than a month. I want to buy a really good bottle of scotch to celebrate and last me many years of drinking only on the most special of occasions. My budget is up to about $500 and I expect the bottle to last me 5+ yrs as it won't be pulled out to drink often. What do you guys recommend?

Maybe get a bottle of Lagavulin for around $100 that you can actually enjoy a little more often.

I'm actually already debating on one of those just to add to the collection. They have them here on base for like $82.

Still want that special occasions bottle!

30 year old Glenfiddich - About $850. Get it with the crystal decanter and sterling silver stag's head and it'll run you $1,800 to $2,500! I actually had a decanter and stag's head, decanter got broken during a move. Still have the stag's head.

I can tell you this is the smoothest scotch I've ever had!

McAllan 21 is right on your budget. You won't be dissapointed.

I've had a bottle for 3 years now and it's the best I've ever had. It'll run around 350-400 but I would pay double that

I'm a The Macallan fan and the 18 is awesome but well under $500. Rare cask is under $300 as well.

The Macallan 25 is well over $1500 if you want real good...

I know it's not scotch and a little out of your budget but look at sazerac 18, hands down some of the smoothest stuff I've ever had!
