I am an Ins adjuster w/ many connections, and possibility to get a trans a lot more cost effective...

It is a 2002 Pontiac Rendezvous
Engine is a 3.4 liter

Might be cheaper for him to buy a newer car.

Update.

Jakesfish checked into a used transmission!! We were told the car was a 2002 Buick but the vin # said it was a 2003. The 2002 transmission used was $500 the 2003 Tranny used is $1000. A completely rebuild unit is $1400. All prices are plus installation.

So far we have raised $435.00

I did a little research and there is some difference.
