Bow guru needed. Arrow occasionally erratic!!!

Ok, it's only happened twice but is quite concerning. Once it happened yesterday and I tossed it up as a possible but very unlikely shooter error. But then it happened again today and I know for dam sure it wasn't me.... both times, after a couple shots into practicing, my arrow decided to fly high. And by high, I mean 3 ft high at 30 yards!!!! It did it twice so far in two days. I've shot several more times agin today to replicate it and it hasn't repeated itself. Bow is basically brand new as of last year. Everything else was bought brand new at the same time. It seems to me like when I shot today I heard a secondary "click" right after the shot. I didn't notice the noise yesterday. Arrow hits online horizontally but is WAY vertical.

What day you gurus? What could be causing this issue????

Not peeking that I know of. Been working on letting the bow fall forward after the shot instead of dropping my arm which I tend to do from time to time when I get fatigued.

Could be a couple of issues. First I'd number my arrows. Just a sharpie on the fletching. This helps eliminate the possibility of a defective arrow if it's the same one. Seeing how it doesn't happen every time this is unlikely. 2. Inspect your fletching for marks. Your fletching maybe contacting a cable. 3. Check your rest. It may not be functioning properly. It could be slow dropping away or even sticking for a second.

Is it possible you were looking over your peep, picked the wrong pin or nocked your arrow below your string loop or nocking point. How much experience do you have shooting a bow?

Is your rest dropping away when you have a flier???? Or did you notice.

I had a drop away rest do that intermittently when the cable clamp started slipping up the cable. Unfortunately it did it to me the last time when I shot at a drop tine deer. Thankfully the arrow hit the dirt in front of the deer.

Check your rest. Sounds like it is getting hung up and launching the arrow high.

Was not looking over peep or using wrong pin. Grew up shooting bows and went about 10 yrs without shooting but got back into it this year.
