It’s gloomy in north Polk County. Felt a speck or two of rain earlier. It has not cooled off yet, but I get the sense it’s not go to get any warmer today. It’s very still... almost creepy still.

getting reports that young deer are seeking in Cushing this morning. Also saw a nice young 8 leaving my house this morning in Splendora. Only .25 mile from my house. I love living in the woods.

im heading up to the panhandle for the quail opener. I know... I know... passing up the best looking weekend. I will hunt hard next week.

Same here, weather looks great to have a shooter come through, but heading quail hunting for my Dads birthday near Uvalde
