Great thread, never realized what it really took to get into the 130's until I was finally able to hunt an area that could produce them - it ain't easy for the average fellow on an average budget! Still tryin!

I’ve only shot at one I can say would break 135” ( low fence ). Two years ago in Frio County. Missed him at 12 yards with my recurve. First deer I ever shot at with trad equipment.

Went home last night after posting on this thread yesterday and counted the deer I have killed that grossed 135" or greater, came up with 15, the best being 174 4/8".

Been very lucky to stick 3 giants on low fence ranch. 201, 199, and 186.
Have several others over 135. Really miss hunting the King on our Corp lease.Comment

I have a couple off of low fence ranches that scored 135+. One off the C Ranch back in the 90's and one in D'Hanis area.
