    Any Airlline workers on here

I have a question for you guys/gals. I have been involved in this thread http://discussions.texasbowhunter.co...d.php?t=656253
that discusses broadheads and flying through Amsterdam. It sounds like this is an issue connecting there. We leave Saturday so that gives us little time to change our flights ($$$) and mailing the broadheads is out as well.

So here is my question, I did not pack my broadheads in my bow case they are in a different bag that will be checked. Our layover in Amsterdam is 3 hours. When they pull the bags off the plane for a connecting flight do they run them back through an x ray? I am curious as to how they would find the broadheads if they are not in the bow case.

You could DHL ship the broadheads. Yes, they will show up on X-ray.

why not call the airline, ask them what their policy is, and follow it? Every airline can interpret the regulations differently. I have flown a lot internationally and what works for one airline, does not always work for another. And you may get lucky one time and get something thru, and you might not the next. I have been thru AMS many times and have never had baggage rejected even on very long layovers (13 hours). I have never had broadheads, but have traveled to/from some pretty sketchy countries that could be a flag.

Do they re-xray the checked bags between connecting flights?

Yes if you are changing carriers or planes

I dont see how this can big a huge issue. There have been hundreds of overseas hunt threads on TBH in the 10 years i have been here and i dont recall the topic ever coming up. I eould think it would have been mentioned before. Surely the outfitters on the other side would let their clients know how to reduce the risk of confiscation
