Retrofit OEM Alarm in 2000 F250

I'm walking with my buddy to his truck tonight and a thief is punching the lock as we are within sight of the vehicle. His OEM alarm scares them off and nothing was taken. I realized that an alarm might have saved my truck 2 weeks back. We both have Fords, his 2004 with a factory alarm that sounds if you open the door without unlocking it with the fob (or key?). I have the same fob on my 2000 but no alarm. I've searched the web unsuccessfully for an OEM alarm module to make my truck arm and sound like his. Anyone know if this can be done? If not, will I have to carry two remotes or do they make a system that arms/disarms with my OEM fob unlock?

The alarm (aftermarket viper, I think) I had on my previous truck replaced oem fobs. That's all I got!

Yep, The Viper. And as I have stated before the Viper pages you and the thief knows it and they had rather try a different vehicle than chance getting caught / in a mess.
