    New Bow

Well after shopping around and shooting a couple different bows that I was interested in I ended up getting the Prime Rize! I shot the halon 32, prime cynergy, and the elite option 6. Really like the halon it was super smooth and dead in the hand after the shot, but I was really looking for a solid backwall. After shooting the halon, cynergy, option 6 I was just gonna wait and keep my Z7 extreme. Then I was handed the Prime Rize. It has a smoother draw then the cynergy I thought and a better backwall then the halon. So I decided to go ahead and get. It was hard to say no to the halon it's a great bow but I wanted a change. It's hard to compare the Mathews to Prime because they are completely different feeling and shooting bows, but after I was told the price of the Rize since it was last years model I got a really good deal and that made it easier to decide lol.

I will say though..... after getting home I shot the Rize and herd a ping noise after the shot that I did not hear in the shop. My exact words to my gf was " how in the F!&k did I not hear this when I first shot it in the shop" Did some research and talked to a member on TBH, and found a couple post on a forum that people herd the same thing I was hearing when shooting. Ended up changing the factory limb dampeners to limbsaver dampeners and also replacing the stock string stop. The biggest difference was replacing the string stop. Noticed a huge difference. Now it's nice it quiet.

Nice rig. I am just imagining my own reaction if I had heard that first ping on a brand new bow!

      Glad you found the solution.

Great looking bow, congrats. Good job on tracking down the noise. That kid of stuff can drive you nuts, at least it does me.

Congrats on the new bow! I keep telling myself to go shoot a Prime, I've heard really good things about them. I'll definitely give them a shot when I'm in the market again.

Definitely give them a try. Some people love them and some hate them. I think what it comes down to is that once somebody is loyal to a brand it hard to change. That's how I was with Mathews. And if my local shop was still in business I would still probably be shooting a Mathews because that's all they sold. But they retired so I figured to try something different. Glad I did.

Congrats on the new rig! I just bought an Elite Synergy and love it, just have to get used to the high let-off it has. After shooting it, my Z9 almost rips my arm off when I barely let down!

Congrats on the bow, and I believe you're completely right about getting used to one brand situation.
