We had water, just no running water. Even if we had running water we don't drink it or cook with it. Its strictly for showers and the toilet. The water contains too much gypsum. We had a 5 gallon container and 3-2.5 gallon containers for cooking and washing dishes. I did use a little to wet a washrag and wash my face off. But that was a temporary fix when its 109 degrees.

My GF had the wet ones....and didn't tell me until Sunday.

Ok I read it and the conclusion I came to is that I have never had a good weekend at the lease. Sounds like every weekend I go to the lease.

Not a particular weekend, but I spread mine out over about 2 months. My RV was flipped and tossed by a tornado that also busted up 2 of "The Blynds", one fiberglass blind that was blown over, 2 of my feeders that were tossed and destroyed another double "The Blind" that was damaged and another blind in camp that was picked up and deposited in a ravine about 100 yards east of camp. Most everything is fixed now but we had to spread all the damage over a period of time.

Glad you got everything fixed and at least were able to get some work done. Agreed on trying to sleep at the lease when "nasty"! Not fun!

Sometimes I feel the same way. Seems I'm either fixing feeders, filling feeders, cleaning up the camp house. It doesn't seem like I get to spend the entire weekend having fun!

It is ALWAYS SOMETHING!. Never fails. Fence down, dead battery, coons ate the wires, wires pulled out, charger dead, feeder leg broken, dead livestock stuck in the pen, broken timer, squirrel chewed thru the bottom of the feeder and all the corn is on the ground, feeder leaked and corn is hardened or wet and gooey and all rotten inside the feeder barrel. Blind collapsed, cows ate the blind, dead cow from eating the blind.
                        HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY

I'm sure you're smart enough to have looked but it really could be as simple as this stupid mistake. Hooking the battery up to the wrong posts can cause the feeder to spin non stop, ask me how I know lol. I inherited a feeder this year and whoever put it together put a red connector on the black wire and a black connector on the red wire. I crossed them up and got peppered. Looked at it for 5 minutes trying to figure out *** before I realized the connectors and the wires were opposite colors.

Yeah, I know all about that! LOL! That could very well be the problem. The feeder motor and the solar charger have been spliced so many times its hard to tell what's what. I considered letting it run all the corn out, taking the motor out and solder new wire onto the terminals and start over. That still may happen next time I go to the lease.

Yes, she's a good one too. Loves to hunt and fish. Basically anything outdoors. Throws them 50 lb. bags of corn around like a champ. Never complains about anything.
