    Any Apple Genius' on here?

    My wife's 6S Plus quit(crashed?) Friday AM about 730ish.
It shows dead battery than apple logo than dead battery than apple logo. it seems stuck in that loop. Wouldn't force restart. Just updated to 10.3.2 (?)
Friday night about 730 I started looking into it. Apple says its a software bug update to 10.3.3 via iTunes. had issues downloading it, but got it. Follow te steps and it won't update so I chose restore. It goes good until it gets to the part ITunes says verifying restore with Apple. comes back error code 9. swap cables, try different usb ports, restart pc and phone numerous times. Still get error code 9.
Took it to the AT&T Store in Canton and they couldn't help me......
ended uo getting new Micro SIM and getting her IPhone 4 back up this afternoon whilst I try and resolve this...

Has anyone else had this issue?
    How'd you resolve it?

By force restart you mean holding power button and home? I had one do that I had to put it in recovery mode then restore or it wouldn't do anything

Plug it into a computer with iTunes and update & restore it. Log back into her Apple account and hopefully all of her stuff is backed up....

Tried this about 100 times already.

Gets to the verify restore with Apple part of the restore and gives error code 9

Swapped USB cables and ports, same thing

Restart phone and PC, same thing

Update iTunes and PC, no updates available, restore via iTunes gets to verify restore with Apple , gives error code 9

Log out of her iTunes acct into mine:
Do previous things all over again - error code 9

DFU stands for Device Firmware Update, and it's the deepest type of restore you can do on an iPhone. An Apple lead genius taught me how to put iPhones

Follow this, you don't need to count. You'll hear sounds on the PC like you plugged in USB when you need to release each button. Put it on a charger for a while before doing it.

Not sure if this tells but
The iPad in my experience is very picky about what cables it will restore with. Error 9 is almost always related to the cable, NOT the dock connector/flex cable. Use the official Apple cable if you still have it, or borrow one from a friend. If that doesn't work, it might also have something to... - iPad

Yeah...I'm counting the days until mine craps out. And I'm REAL picky about what I load on it for apps etc.

The only time I've been able to get one working again was the forced restart. Any other apple problem I've had I take to the Apple store. They've always been helpful by telling me there's nothing to do besides buy a new one.

I read it and last tip from 2011 says when error code come up DO NOT Vick on ok or more info just leave it. I HAVEN'T tried doing nothing yet. I'll try that

Well I tried and tried and tried some more, took a day off and tried again and and again and than some more.
Pert near used a 4# sledge on it.
Wife kept harping about not having her phone yada yada yada. So she says lest just file and insurance claim on it. I'm like huh it's a hardware or software issue insurance only covers theft or loss. They want $335+ to fix it. Out of warranty I'm like NO!!So I tried a few dozen more times
                            Apple support wasn't no good.

So last night I get on AT&T website and look at the insurance. Out of warranty malfunction is covered. I was hopeful for the first time in long time. I submit claim. I get 50% of standard deductible since it's been more than 12 months since last claim.
So she's getting her phone replaxer. It's not her exact phone model. More GB and different case color. It'll be delivered before 430 tomorrow.....
