Found this old gal on the grill when I was cooking steaks last night. Popped and fizzed pretty good when I tossed it in the fire.

It has been a while since I had seen one but I didn't remember they're butts being that big. I was worried if I squished her that babies would pour out. That's why I went the the fire, that and the entertainment value.

Doesn't look like a black widow to me. Red is on the wrong side and not in an hourglass shape.

It's definitely a BW. Just like this one that was in my kayak seat. The hourglass shape isn't always well defined.

I've never seen a black widow with any marking other than the red hourglass on the belly. They have all been jet black.
