Need help with turkey vulture deterrents

I understand they are protected, so plinking them is out

The birds are hanging around a private lake boat dock that's covered & pooping everywhere. They have already damaged the boat cover & a seat.
Is there something to hang from the slip cover or some type of motion/wind device that would scare them off?

    Open to suggestions....
    Thx in advance

Tannerite. Let them all get settled in, and watch as the sky turns white, from the amount of grey matter they will be blowing out. It will look like jet propulsion .
I am advocating you scare the black hell out of them, not blow them, or your dock up. Maybe set a bottle of it on top of a post or close to where they are.

Make some heavy duty tack strips with finish nails and screw them or zip tie them down where they are landing/roosting

They are protected, but I read where you can remove them.

Vulture effigies scare away birds at Savannah Mall
They're not your usual Christmas decorations. Atop the roof at the Savannah Mall, 10 vulture effigies have been strung up on poles. They're meant to scare off a mixed flock of turkey vultures and …

              Good idea to try

What about some yard decorations that blow or move in the wind?

Get a sound cannon. Set it to go off a couple times in the evening when they are coming in to roost. They will find somewhere else to go
