Pretty cool hybrid duck

Couple weeks ago I finally mounted my pintail/mallard cross from this past season. For now it's on the wall, but will eventually be in a corn field habitat box with a pintail and mallard feeding underneath it.

I did the work myself. I mounted a brewers duck this past season, very cool birds as well!

The more I looked at it I realized it wasn't who I thought it was.

Great mount, and the taxidermist I had you confused with puts you in really good company.

That's awesome, only other one I have ever seen was on an old Duck Commander video. It had orange feet too. Such a pretty bird. Mount looks great, good job man

The colors are basically the same as a Wigeon. I cast this head off the original head since if was an odd ball

Self taught then worked with a taxidermist in the Dallas area 2 years ago.

Nice. I shot a gad/mallard cross back in 2001 but was too busted up to mount. I do have a Cinnamon/bluewing hybrid on the wall though. Cinnamon body but a bluewing head...
