Questions about F150 suspension lift

Are lifts cool. Yes. Necessary, no. I had a 5.4 with 6" lift and 35's. I got about 11 mpg highway in the thing. I loved that truck even though it cost me 80 bucks a week in fuel, Leveled my current truck and put wide 33's on it just so it sits up a little taller, but still wish it was taller

There are cheaper lifts that use 2 spacers on coils- stay away. Disaster waiting to happen. I'm not talking about the 2" spacers on coils for level kits

Oh lol. I told my dad when I bought it and he was asking why did you buy that big ol thing? Your mileage is gonna suck... I told
Him nah those bigger tires rotate less so your mileage goes up
He just shook his head and walked off and started drinking [emoji16]

I had a 2006 F150 4-door, with a 4" BDS suspension lift. Installed the lift at about 100K miles then sold the truck at 244K miles. I ran 34" Toyo's most of the time. Highway gas milage was around 11-12, and pulling trailers was 8-9. I pull trailers a lot. As far as I could tell, nothing wore out any quicker with the lift than without. If I had it to do over again, on that truck I should have actually gone with a 6" lift. The 4" really wasn't much different than the 2" leveling kit I had on prior to lifting. And yes, I actually USE my truck...a lot. I sold it back in December and got a 2017 F-250. No plans for a lift (back end is plenty high enough) but I may level it. Hope this helps.

Heck, I use to run 14/35x16.5 Gumbo Monster Mudders with NO LIFT or fender modification and no tire rubbing on an F250 Ford 4x4. Did not need lift, it was factory suspension and had zeros problems and got 70,000 miles out of the tires.
Had a 4" lift on a Suburban and like said above, a pain, but I got it to use larger tires for my guiding years in NM in the mud and snow.
