    Youth draw hunt question.

This is the first year I will be trying to get my daughter on a draw hunt. So when applying for the draw hunt do I add myself as an applicant aswell as her?

None of my business, and I don't know how old your daughter is, but have you considered the TYHP (Texas Youth Hunting Program)? It's a truly outstanding program. TBH member RGB is one of the TYHP officials, and here is a link to a thread he started earlier:

Here is a link to their website:

TYHP Learn and Apply Advanced Hunting Skills

My son and I participated and we both loved it.

        Good luck,

        Dave

Let them know it's your first year.

And stay away from the one in Boerne. Kronkosky place 3800 acre. Five kids hunted for 4 hunts. 1 hog and 1 fawn killed. We never saw an animal.

You will put yourself first on the app. Then add your daughter.
Good luck. When my son was of age, he drew hunts 5 years in a row, missed out the next year, then drew a hunt on his last year. Should've let him pick me out some lotto numbers back then. I might be retired now!!!

Sqiggy, if you put the youth first on the app & the adult second, will the app be rejected?

It has always stated in the book to list the adult first. If drawn, the first person on the card gets the notification.
I don't think it will get rejected, but I would like to be the one that gets notified!!

TPWD usually does a pretty good job of sorting out those things.

I got my daughter registered for two hunts in October. I'm hoping she gets at least one. It will be first year to apply. I wish I had known about this as a kid!
