    For sale by owner?

Selling 2 acres I bought a couple of years back. I'm looking into selling it on my own to avoid realtor fees and whatnot.

So since no realtor or specific company is involved, do I just have to have a title company complete the paperwork when I find a buyer?

Any other advice is greatly appreciated.

I'd find a title company before I put it up for sale and let them guide you as to what needs to be done.

That's how I bought my house. It was me buying, the sellers and the title company we used. I used the title company of my choice.

Put it for sale and let the buyer do pay for all the leg work.

The Title company is selected when the contract is signed...if you have a favorite title company, tell the buyer, if you don't, let them choose....

Would you happen to know if there is a specific contract I would need to use by law?

TREC Contract. Find it on the TREC website. (Texas Real Estate Commission)

Sold my last house myself.Contact a title company that has a lawyer on staff. Its no big deal and money well spent. If I remember right it only cost me 150 bucks to draw up the paper work.Closing cost covered everything else.
                  no big deal.
                  good luck.

Land is in Los Fresnos, TX. Its in a quiet neighborhood right outside city limits with very little traffic.

The previous owner had water and electricity running so all the connections are there but have not been connected for at least the past two years. Also a 900 sq ft metal shed on the property.
