    fleas on my dog

So I went to visit my Mom this past weekend and she has a like 4 dogs and 5 cats. We took our little dog along with us, we've never had a flea problem so I've never treated him for fleas.

Well, when we got back we noticed he had a bunch of fleas on him. I bathed him a couple times in dawn soap and it seems to have killed all the fleas that were on him.

But now my wife is freaking out about the yard and house, I told her I would treat the yard to ease her mind, but I'm not sure what to do with the inside of the house? Anybody have any recommendations to help my freaked out wife?

Same thing happens when we take my wife Shih head to her sisters in MS. Covered in fleas. Get home and there's no issue

Walmart has some flea powder for carpet floors that works pretty good. You can spray permethrin in the house, but it's pretty smelly! Eggs will hatch every 7 to 10 days, so it will have to be repeated a few times. We use comfortis monthly. Haven't had a problem this year, but yes they seem worse in general this year. I think it's due to the mild winter and wet spring, JMO.

Buy Diatomaceous Earth for your carpet. Cuts them to pieces, and vacuums right up. It works very well.
Google has a ton of info. Also no poisons, etc.. in it.
