    I know what I'm gonna do

    But wondering what y'all would do if you lived in Louisiana ( besides move back to Texas ). Lol Texas law says I can't transport my deer without the head and Louisiana law says I can't bring the head into this state. I always process my own game.

    I would contact a Louisiana Game Warden and find out the proper procedure. I am sure this is not a unique situation

          Texas law says proof of sex - nothing about a head.

            Throw the head in the river while on the bridge.

                    Not true.

                    Notice: It is unlawful to possess a deer or pronghorn antelope with proof of sex removed unless the deer or antelope is at a final destination and has been quartered. Proof of sex for deer or antelope is:

                    the head (skinned or unskinned) of a buck deer with antlers attached;
                    the head (skinned or unskinned) of an antlerless deer;

                      If I lived in Louisiana and hunted in Texas I would shoot my trophy buck, cape it out, cut off the antlers, quarter it, and head home. Drop the cape and antlers of at the taxidermy, and meat at the processor

                        Trash the head at the state line

                          Or I would leave the head at a Texas taxidermy with a wildlife resource document, and go home with my tagged deer meat.

                            Did you contradict yourself? I called Austin , they said I have to have the head UNLESS I have it processed over there. I said I process my own at home
