Being realistic, it is only a matter of time before all death sentences are once again made illegal. How many of you even knew that was the case for a number of years in the US in the last century.

Again, realistically (sorry for the redundancy, but this thread has a bit much of Utopia/Starwars/Spaghetti Western logic within it), so long as we still do have the death sentence, time between verdict and execution will only get longer, and cost to the taxpayer will just get higher.

Finally, I really don't think there's much at all we can learn from a failed state (Yemen), and a sixth century (Islamic) legal philosophy. Sorry, but if you're gonna live in the 21st century USA, there are simply a lot of things you won't like, but frustrating yourself with them is more likely to lead to a nervous breakdown than any kind of satisfaction in thinking it's gonna change anytime soon.
