Headed down with my brother Friday. Any recent reports? What have the tides been like/going to be? Love fishing down there and we never seem to have a problem getting our reds sight fishing, but the trout always seem to elude us. Any ideas where to try?

I'm making my first trip of the year to POC this weekend also. Tides were real low and weak last weekend. Tides should be good this weekend and so should the fishing depending on the rain. -
Yeah, thought I'd heard tides were low. Keeping an eye on the rain chances as well but will probably be out there regardless.Comment

Not poc but rockport so not too terribly far. Tides were low and fishing was slow, and what fish I did catch was all 10" trout or ladyfishComment

Judging by the responses, I'm hopeful it won't be to crowded this weekend. I do know it's going to be a little cooler and we might get rained on. Oh well. When I can go fishing, I go.Comment

Surf is always a good time if you can get out there. Tides have been wintertime low and looking for trout I can't help you
