    Smokin some pork butts

Supposed to be the hottest day since 2012 and with nothing else to do, i decided to heat up the Weber Smoker.

2 10lb (ish) butts went on about 6am.

Should be ready for dinner but most of it will be froze for vacation in a few weeks.

Hotter the temp, the less fire you need!

Man, from what I heard on today's temp, I think those would cook in a smoker without any fire... lol

It's supposed to be miserable this afternoon!!

I moved the smoker a little bit to make sure it'll have shade after lunch.

Those WSM's seem to do a bad *** job. Thinking about picking one up. Looks good!

                            So far so good

You don't get the heavy smokey bark on he briskets but the 3 I've done have been awesome.

My favorite thing about it is for smaller meats. You can smoke for a while and then move the grill directly on top of the coals to grill. Basically use it as a kettle grill

I'm assuming you add wood chunks throughout the cook ?
