Let's talk bib overalls.

What brand do u wear and why? I've got liberty carnhartt big Smith. Carnhartt w/ double knees are too hot. Liberty are ok. I'm interested also in hearing about roundhouse and Doluth.

My dad loves Duluth Firehose bibs. Says they are twice as tough as Carhart. We both have some Filson bibs, and they are awesome. Crazy stiff at first though, but once past that, they are comfortable.

I've tried Liberty, Big Smith, Roundhouse and Carhartt.

The Liberty fit different than the others. Not that that is a bad thing, just wasn't comfortable to me

The buckle clasp on the Big Smith and Roundhouse straps would come apart and be useless. I know they've changed the design since 20 years ago. I may try them again...

I've had zero problems out of Carhartt. Denim most of the time, a few duck for cooler months, two red lined insulated pair, one is the 100th anniversary edition.


What are you looking for? Comfort? Durability? Warmth? Daily wear?

Carhartt bibs for me, insulated quilted interior, they fit awesome and the pockets are perfect size and placement for my knife, phone and streamlight stinger.. being bibs I can pair with any jacket light or heavy and that's why I chose these over full coveralls

When I was younger I grew up wearing Big Smith...only wore them because my last name was Smith.

Nowadays, I have a couple pair or Carhartt

When I was a little kid, I had a pair of Liberty overalls... Well, my brother and my dad went duck hunting one morning (as I was too young to go) and they brought home a few ducks. I was outside watching them clean them and I told dad to cut off one of the duck's feet because I wanted it. He didn't think anything about it. A few days later, mom was going to do laundry and my dirty clothes smelled horrible. She washed and dried them and when she was folding them, she could still smell something.. She unzipped the pocket on the bib to find a rotten duck foot

I have been very pleased with anything from Duluth made of that "Firehose" material. I their have jeans - both insulated and uninsulated - and some bibs.

I have some light weight camo libertys, insulated walls camo and a couple pair of carharts. They dont see the light of day till the temps are below 70

I do have 2 pair of duluth pants which are very comfortable

We took my buddies wifes SUV on an urban goose hunt a couple years ago and my son was playing with a goose foot on the way home and lost it between the seats and by the time we got home I had forgotten about it! About a week later she found it!

I still chuckle about that!

Everyday wear. Are the duluths more fitted for colder temps. I know my duck carnhartt are very hot. And stiff.
