The new screen isn't in contact with the touch screen sensors.

Same thing happened on my 6+. You could open the phone and it would open apps on it's own, type on it's own (with the keyboard displayed), etc. This is caused by me forgetting it was in my back pocket and sitting down a few different times. (I'm sure you heard about the possibility of an iPhone warping if you sit with it in your back pocket). It flexes the phone and the sensors become disconnected from the screen. I did some reading and there's a way to temporarily fix it.

With your phone in sleep mode, hold it in landscape mode (sideways, gangsta style), grip the ends of the phone and twist slightly back and forth three to four times then do a hard reset. This worked on my phone for a few days each time and I'd have to do it again. After a couple months and me being due for an upgrade, I got a new phone.

Now, with you recently getting your screen replaced, take it back to them and tell them the touch screen sensors aren't in contact with the new screen and they need to fix it.

I hope this is not your issue, google iphone 6 touch disease. I fight with it all the time.

Hopefully Apple will have fixed it in later versions of the phone.

I don't know, but when you do get it fixed- invest in one of the Screen Protectors. I have a ZAGG Invisible Shield. The screen protector shatters instead of your actual screen, then you just peel it off and send it back in and ZAGG sends you a new one.
ZAGG Brands creates tech accessories that fit your lifestyle—screen protection, tablet and iPad keyboards, power banks, protective smartphone and iPhone cases, and more. Free shipping where available.

Same one I use with a Pelican case. Lasted 2 years on my previous iPhone.

It had a tempered glass screen protector on it and it kept the screen crack from being worse than it was. It did manage to get through to the actual screen though

Will do ... thanks fellas. Don't keep it in my back pocket but I do keep it in my front pocket. Headed to lease but it's going back to the repair shop Monday. Ive "butt dialed" 5 folks since this post [emoji35][emoji35]
