this would have been a convincing point before we became aware of the orwellian nightmare that tracks our entire lives through i-phones, fb, google, tv, household appliances, computer cams, credit cards, ss #'s, birth certificates, on-star, ect ect on and on and on.

Actually, following people's lives, interests, and habits is a multi billion dollar industry that's been around forever.

Yes sir! Our company is a marketing company, and it would shock a lot of people to know just how much marketing companies know about their shopping habits, what they look up on the Internet, etc. Heck, just for you Facebook users...over the next few days, pay attention to what you google, and then check out what ads you're seeing on your sidebar. Siri users...pay attention to what you talk about, and then watch what appears on your sidebar.

Companies are tracking more about your life than you think. Heck, I posted a pic of my bald head a few years ago, and started getting Rogaine type emails. When I started wearing glasses, emails for vision corrective surgery starting popping into my inbox. They, for the most part, couldn't care less about anything but getting your money. But it isn't a far stretch to think it couldn't change very quickly
