    2017 Fantasy Football Talk

With the FF draft likely looming in the next month for everyone, I thought I would get a thread up that we could use throughout the year for FF advice. Opinions on who to draft, start, trade, etc.

    Ill start--

Curious what everyone thinks of Lynch this year? I was big on him earlier, but starting to second guess now reading some the predictions about him.

I read an article last week where Derek Carr said "We won't be throwing the ball from the one or two yard line" throwing shade at the Seahawks losing the Super Bowl a couple years ago and implying they are gonna feed Beast Mode near the goal line. I think his 100 yard game days are over but it's very possible he'll lead the league in touchdowns this year. That being said, I wouldn't select him before the 4th or 5th round personally in a 12 team league. Sure he could have some 2 or 3 td games, but if he doesn't score, you're like looking at only 3-4 points that week. I'm far from an expert, that's just my personal opinion.

I have the 7th pick in my 12 team standard league, and I'm debating on drafting Lesean McCoy or Melvin Gordon, assuming the top 3 RBs and top 3 WRs are gone. Curious to hear other people's thoughts

^^^^ He won't be on my team unless its late 4th round, or early 5th. That being said, I would need to have already gotten some solid players in rds 1-3/ or 4.

Lynch to me will be another Blount. He won't lead the league in rushing but will be a TD vulture.

My question is Christian McCaffery....projections are showing him as a 2nd round pick however I dont trust Carolina as they have a history of splitting carries with RB's. Then again Stewart is injury prone

I would have to go with McCoy there. Gordon might have a higher upside, but McCoy is the safe pick in my opinion.

I cant see taking McCaffery in the 5th round, much less the 2nd. Like you said, way too much inconsistency at the RB position for me to go with a panther RB.

In for this one. Played in a 10 team league last year. My top picks got hurt last year right out of the gate, so I'm ready for some redemption!

I'd be in for a 10 team league.
At first I was high on beast mode, but then I heard the other day they were gonna limit his carries since he's just coming back and he's 31. He might prove everyone wrong. At that point I'd take McCoy too, or maybe aj green.

I'm in a 10 team, keeper league and we keep two players. I need help deciding who I should keep. I'm def keeping shady but not sure of who else. I also have the 5th pick in the draft...

                      What do y'all think?

I will be continuing the TBH league in the next few weeks.

What's your keeper rules? Do you have to keep 2? If so, do they take the place of your first 2 rounds or do they have a round associated with them already based on where you drafted them last year?

We have to keep 2 and everyone goes to the draft with their first "pick" being the actual 3rd round.

I'm pretty sure that I'll end up keeping LeSean McCoy and Drew Brees. They're the only two players ranked in the top 5 at their position sans Jordan Reed.

I think you have to, unfortunately you are behind the 8 ball my friend. Effectively your 5th pick is McCoy and he's going around pick 8-12 right now in most redraft leagues so that's not too bad, but Brees as a 2nd rounder is a bit of a reach in most leagues (for me anyway). Likely somebody in your league is sitting on something magical like David Johnson and Julio Jones to start their draft. Good luck!
