So now that the F150 is totalled...

..see other thread. I'm sure insurance isn't going to give me much. So i'm thinking about F250 crew cab with either a 6.7 or 7.0. Any opinions on late model 4x4s.

    Stay away from the 6.0

Looks like you will be getting a 6.7, cause they don't make a 7.0.

          I love my 2016 six seven..Draggin stuff,road trips,whatever..It's capable in 4wd(muddy/icy roads/etc)
If you need a hard diggin' 4wd,I'd get a Raptor.

I went look at one last week. 2017 F250 6.7 4X4 STX Caribou color with the power package, Gooseneck hookup and brake controler, backup and cargo camera, heavier front suspension, and the new Ford Sync system with the larger screen. They were willing to sell for $49K. and the full SLT model is 52K

All other dealers wouldnt even come close. I just couldnt get there with my trade in 3/4 ton gasser. Will most likely give it a go in a few more months when rebates get better.

I've just bought a 2017 F250 with the 6.2 gas engine. Great truck $8,500 less than the diesel. You can buy a lot of gas for $8,500

Definitely one way to look at it.

Have you guys got an opinion on the Chevy 2002 Avalanche? Got a friend trying to sell me one. It's cheap enough.

                              Is it a 3/4 ton?

I have a Tahoe same year. Engine is solid but it's a light duty truck so all those front steering components and axle parts/seals suck...
