I have one too. I only had one problem with it was the clips on the battery leads needed to be bent out a little to hold the battery tighter. After that I haven't had any problems. Batteries last differently under different settings. Last time I put it out I set it to the longest and I will see when I make it back up to check it.

Have you thought about a solar panel ? I was going to look into one.

Not sure if they do make one. I had actually thought about wiring up an external box and put a larger battery on it. I believe a 2G memory stick is the largest you can put but that gives you about 3500 pictures.

They make small hand held readers that will be able to read any format that has a small screen you can view them on.
