    Decent Protein?

Hey guys I've looked at a couple proteins and I really have no clue what I'm looking for...

Long story short I found some 18% at a local CoOp in Sulphur Springs at a fairly good price of 6.70$ per 50# bag. All the protein in this part of the world ranges from 10-15$ a sack and with me being on only 100 acres I'm not trying to feed the best of the best but I still want to supplement them with something other than corn...

Anyways do y'all believe this 18% is a decent protein?

That doesn't look bad at that price point.

      Big Tine works great.

Hope not... it's either that or the sportsman deer and elk for 14$ a sack!

That is more of a complete or pen feed ration with that high of fiber. You grow fiber for free in the pasture. I would not buy it to use on deer out on a ranch.

Thanks, I'll keep the search going I reckon.

I'd like to find a place about 4 hours south of there for that price

I started throwing a corn and roasted soybean mixture in my timed feeders. It's 17% and I'm hoping the deer like it enough to keep them around our property.

What's a good fiber content for pasture deer? We've been feeding Antlers Plus

I feed cottonseed and it's 24% crude fiber.

I'm waiting until October when the gin near my farm gets some back in stock
