    Yep---notch in the rod that just catches on the lower edge of the "roof".

    Haven't caught any yet, but when I do, I will re-locate them several miles away to the other side of the creek.

    I'm also going to use a hole-saw to cut a couple of holes in each side so I can see what manner of critter I catch. Just need to put it out in the yard with some boards to guide them into the trap until I catch one and it is "seasoned" with armadillo scent.

            I think I would start numbering them, if you are not killing them. To make sure you are not catching the same ones more than once.

                    Spray painted a couple of them bright red and haven't re-caught any of them. Our neighborhood is linear, with two streets that are parallel. Open pasture on the north and wooded/brushy pasture on the south. I never realized there would be so many--

                          nice dillo trap. Caught one in our yard last night and relocated him. Gotta keep one in there for a bit now and then to "reseason" it.
