Tina had her 5th chemo, last Friday. This is a different drug, Taxol, than the first 4 treatments.

With this one, she doesn't get the anti-anxiety drug, so she didn't fall asleep during the infusion. So far, the after-effects have been minimal except that her finger nails and toe nails hurt. It sounds weird but the doctor told us that she should expect some tenderness in her nail beds, and they might turn a darker color.

I did notice yesterday that she's starting to look a little "unhealthy". She's starting to get dark circles under her eyes, which I've never seen her with.

Her spirits are still good, and she stayed active, and got some painting done in the barndo on Saturday. If the trend continues, I think this drug will be easier for her to deal with than the last one ... the doctor did say that most people tolerate this drug much better than the other one.

Definitely adding to all the prayers for Tina and your entire family. Try to keep a positive mind brother. My Dad just finished chemo for lung cancer and goes for scans on Thursday to see if he is cancer free. At the same time my mother-in-law and wife's aunt are both battling breast cancer with the aunt having both breasts removed today. Cancer is a b*tch smfh f*ck cancer
