    Determining number of feeder locations...

Wondering how folks determine how many corn feeder/hunting locations they set up? We seem to always be stuck with not having enough for most of our deer population to end up at one of them. Then if you add more there are odds target bucks aren't at the same feeder regularly.

Are you going by your deer population, by acreage, or lay of the land?

We could easily add 2 more maybe 3 but torn on adding more.

Anywhere you want to see them, dont really matter where or how many.
But, it sux when you have multiple locations and the deer are at the one your not

Main reason I ask is my main location I have 6-7 mature (5+) year olds going to it and lots of smaller/younger deer. Of course only a couple of the older deer and an assortment of the younger bucks are there each time it goes off. Not sure if they rotate around by whichever group of older bucks were there first or what. We have a couple locations like this. Really wondering if adding another or two would spread the deer out a little more and get them coming to a certain feeder more regular.

We already heavily road feed and hand corn these locations to keep more deer in the area.

Rule I use is at least 1 per 100 acres. But, that depends on habitat and terrain too

We're more like one per 330-350 acres right now.

We have 3 on 100 acres, but the property is long and narrow. We don't usually see the same animals at different feeders.

Add a second or multiple feeders in different directions at each location. Done this in the past to spread the mature deer out at one blind location. It also allows you to hunt different wind situation and travel patterns in varied terrains.

We added a couple timed protein trough feeders to a couple hopefully that helps some as well.
