My wife and I are going to Cabo San Lucas on the 6th of August for 5 days. Neither one of us have ever been. I found a deal on flights (Spirit Airlines, ends today) and the hotel on Groupon. Total cost for two is $720. Now we need some activities.

Eat, drink, eat, drink, eat, drink, eat, drink, eat, drink, eat, drink, eat, drink...... get the picture. Doesn't matter where or how much.. eat, drink!
And unless it's a pro fishing guide and the weather is perfect, do not book a fishing trip off shore! Huge waste of money!

Man it's beautiful. Honestly, do the glass bottom boat ride to lovers beach or what ever it's called. If you are staying on a resort in the cove be careful boarding the boat off the beach. It's 25 ft deep 15 ft from the beach. The swells will come out of no where and knock you over. Happened to my ex gfs step dad. He's 6'6 280 and ended up with the boat crashing on him and rolled up and down the steep beach 6 times before he could get up. Also, don't sit anything down on the lovers beach island that you don't want gone. Waves will come out of nowhere and run 75 yards up the beach and take everything back with them. Water is clear and you will see hundreds of big fish under the glass bottom boat. Baracuda and grouper. Whale watching is hit or miss. Jet skis would be fun but pricey. Maybe reef fishing if you do fish. Be careful of the margaritas. I drank on the plane ride there and went to the margaritas as soon as we got there. Ended up drunk and couldn't remember where my room was or the number my first day there. Spent an hour sitting at the concierge desk "lost" until my ex found me. Lol. Went back to the room and passed smooth out. All well before sunset! Moral of story, be careful of the tequila. Didn't drink the next 4 days bc I was so hung over. And be careful of the pedlers on the beach. The have all kinds of stuff to sell that's cool I guess. But they don't take no for an answer. Unless the are selling drugs. One no and they are gone.

We walked up to a boat in the marina and booked a cheap half day fishing trip for the next day. I told the guy that I wanted the most action, closest to shore. Quantity over quality. We caught a ton of fish, saw whales right at the boat, and never got more than 5 minutes from the marina. Done by lunch, it was great.
