Cody Johnson on Texas Trophy Hunter magazine

Thought I'd post for all my fellow Cojo fans! He made the cover of TTH magazine and has a good article on a few big bucks he's killed recently. I found it interesting to read how he still manages to find time to hunt while touring and being on the road all the time. He mentioned he takes his bow and block target on the road with him and finds an alley or a spot to shoot before shows. He also manages deer at his ranch in new waverly and started up tres amigos hunting company with some other fellow musicians as well as being a lifetime member of TTH. Already was a huge fan of Cody Johnson but even more so knowing he's an avid hunter and promoter of the outdoors. I picked up a copy at Walmart, Thought you guys might enjoy!

Saw that the other day. I love me some Cody Johnson. Seen him probably close to 10 times now, we had a 5/10 min conversation the last time he was at rockin rodeo in Midland. Definitely a class act.

Oh yea. Cody is a big time hunter. He loves it. He planted a summer crop out at his small place in waverly. He works out at my gym 3-4 times during the week when he is home. Usually the first 10 minutes is spent sharing deer pictures and summer bucks. He's a cool dude and just like the rest of us. Enjoys hunting with a passion and especially enjoys hunting out here in east Texas

Never heard of him. I'll check out his music today on the way out to the ranch.

I had never heard of him but proud to see that he is a hunter. My sons tell me that he is a pretty good entertainer and more old style country that I would like. Gonna have to check him out.
Hope that you have a chance to read my article, "Queens and Coyotes", an account of a fun hunt in South Texas. The hunt will also be aired on CARNIVORE, this season.
            Adios,
            Gary

He was hanging out a family friends place outside lovelady 2 years ago. Went to school and did some roping with the ranch owners son in law.

He's got a concert coming up in of the next month

If you have never heard of him, here's 4 must listen to songs to learn about his music (I'm sure others will chime in as well with their favorites):
                    Dance Her home
                    Texas Kind of Way
                    Diamond in My Pocket
                    Slam the door
