Surf tomorrow? Thurs.

Heading out to try for some specs in the surf at surfside tomorrow around 6. Any idea what we should expect for swells? What would be a good site to get info on surfside surf conditions?

It'll be a little bumpy in the morning but the fish are there. SwellInfo is a great site for surf conditions. Friday should be better, and Saturday should be the best. I'll be out Saturday.

Today was rough compared to how it's been. The forecast looks to improve through the weekend. I won't get to see for sure as we are heading home tomorrow.

I have been in Jamaica Beach since Sunday and have been on the beach every morning at 6am. It has been rough and sandy green all week. The wind forecast has been wrong all week no matter which site I look at. I haven't caught a trout but have had my butt kicked by waves for the past 4 days. Good Luck

I'll be around San Luis or SS Saturday and Sunday morning. Never fish San Luis, any suggestions for somewhere on the flats east of the pass on the bay side?

This morning was horrible with big offshore storms.

Sounds like my surf fishing trips. I see all these guys catching trout, red and flounder then head down there and get skunked. I used to be a decent fisherman but I just plain suck in the salt now.

Went a couple weeks ago. Gulf not cooperating. Should get better in August. I caught small flounder over some mud and gafftop. About it. Even guys soaking dead bait were complaining. Still better than being at work.

Caught several undersized trout with only 2 keepers. The black tips are thick right now. Would still be out there fishing but my buddy managed to get two of his fingers in a 20" sharks mouth. Didn't cut him up very badly but we had a tough time getting the bleeding to stop. Decided to call it a day. Surf was rough but fishable. Sharks were being caught all up and down the beach. All of our fish came on spoons both gold and silver.
