$ for busting out concrete to put in bathroom

We are wanting to add a bathroom in our cabin where there is an existing concrete floor. As you can see there is a shower toilet and sink. We are wanting to run all these drain pipes to the north side of the shower. The septic line is right on the other side of the wall from the shower. How much do you think it would cost for just the plumbing side of things for a plumber to run these lines. The septic line is 2 feet on the other side of the north wall.

Is there room to raise the floor for plumbing?

+1, I've been in a lot of remodels with a small step to add a bathroom. If not, it takes an afternoon with a hilti, plumber ready to do job next day, and concrete guy lined up later that day, or the next day.

There are 9' Ceilings. But wouldn't you have to raise it 5". Would you have problems with the drainage from the toilet running sideways?

I rented an electric jack hammer when I remodeled our bathroom and had to adjust the plumbing

Second to last bathroom job I did was similar, and the plumber charged $4,500 to cut out the concrete and haul it off, plumb everything and tie into the drain, pour the concrete back and run the supply lines, including the materials.

So do ywe u feel that was a good price. That's kind of the price I was thinking, I could bust it out and other biddies dig it up.

Going to look at it this weekend. After you dig it out to run the pipes, do you back full wigth sand, dirt, concrete?

I busted mine out, fixed plumbing (had to adapt cast iron to PVC), packed dirt back in around plumbing, mixed sackrete and patched.

Repair plumbing rates are over $100/hr and no estimate of time that would be needed to do job.

You got a crappy plumber... mine does it all, bust out to concrete. No tile but he will fix the slab

4500 seems a bit high but its all about how long the runs through the slab were.

Ive actually been wondering lately how exspensive it would be to build a NEW piere and beam cabin to avoid stuff like this
