It's not the lights, it's how you use the lights. Those lights are set up on a dimmer that will run you about 400 bucks to control them. Just get a dimmable light and go kill some critters. That's setup is for producing TV quality footage and is way beyond necessary to just kill animals. The hood in those lights aren't factory, they are custom made. You can make your own and put them in any light. Like lightforce, or Magna light . BTW those cats in my Avatar were killed under the NightCrew lights!Last edited by CTB; 07-07-2017, 08:42 AM.

B-Ray, the light rig you are asking about is a fourth generation setup we designed that has evolved over several years of trial and error "specifically" to film at night. As others have already commented before, if your intentions are to simply kill predators at night then you won't need anywhere near that much light. A good killing/shooting light and a separate light just for scanning will get the job done. If you are wanting to film (which is great and don't blame you at all) you'll need all the light you can get and big budget (between 4-7k) to make something that will work "effectively". I wish I could give you specifics on details about it but unfortunately we are currently unable to disclose information about the setup for various reasons at this time. Best thing I can tell you is study what you see on the show to the best of your abilities and use that as your guide (if filming is your goal). Good luck
"Gonehuntin68" - Yes we are sponsored by Wicked by choice because we believe in the products and actually use the hell out of them and have never hidden the fact we use both on the show, hence the reason they are BOTH visible (A.Custom light rig we built and B. Wicked scan pro's or kill lights) throughout each episode geared around hunting from the rig. Its no secret and trust me, the way it is portrayed to the public is the closest representation to the actual way we hunt that we could achieve through a camera. This "decision" to show both in use extensively was not an accident and was planned out carefully since the onset of the concept of Night Crew between myself (producer) and the owner of Wicked Lights (One of the most solid guys in the industry). Bottom line is, what you see is the actual way it is and anytime the camera isn't rolling (which is 90% of the time, the light powering everything else is a Wicked).....The guys on here who have personally hunted with us I'm sure can all vouch for that being the truth.
B-Ray, I apologize for highjacking your thread but felt I needed to clarify that topic.
Mods - This is not an add for any specific light company so sorry in advance if it is taken that way. Just helping everyone understand.
Thanks and take care. Chris
