If/when you draw you get an email from TPWD.

No. You can go to the draw website and 'check status'. There you can see the status of every draw for which you have applied.

Do they ever let you bring someone to go with you? Most all say no. I'm just curious how that works especially on devils river and if I draw a mule deee hunt. I'm assuming they will let you on the big guided hunts and the 1 tag hunts.

No. Only those that are on the application can go.
