German Roaches!! How to get rid of them??

Roaches, and most other insects do not like citrus..
Go to your local feed store, or Wally world, and buy some Orange oil concentrate.
Mix it according to the directions, in a one gallon pump sprayer....
And spray, everything... Caution, it will take the paint off the walls if not mixed
properly.. Not only is it a natural insecticide, your house will smell great....

One other thing on using a Shop-vac, have it handy when you pull the oven out from the wall as well as when you clean behind the fridge. As they run out, use it to vacum them up. If they are in the light fixtures, vac them out of there and from under the sink as well. That will help knock down the immediate numbers but it won't solve the long term problems if they have been laying eggs.

You will probably need a second person/set of hands on deck to help with this. If the person is squeamish or freaked out by bugs, don't use them. Getting rid of German roaches ins't like other pest control jobs. Also, check under the kitchen table with the shop-vac and where the pots and pans are stored.

The cracks between the oven and the cabinets as well as the space between the dishwasher and the cabinets need to be hit as well.

The orange oil idea above might be great after you get the infestation knocked down, but not before. Use the bait, along with direct application of an insecticide specifically for german roaches, along with the shop-vac. As a follow up later, you can try the orange oil thing but not for the initial attack of the infestation.

Boric Acid.
What we do is make balls of flour rolled with the boric acid (powder) and they will eat it, take it to their hiding spots, put it on their eggs and they will all die. It is cheap and very very effective.

Try to check alternative way. I think you can use the same product for German roaches as fore black cockroaches.

I can vouch for boric acid, as well. Get the plastic bottles and the tablets. Squirt the powder - and it doesn't take much, you don't need PILES of it. Just enough to make a little visible dust - in the backs of cabinets, the holes in the wall where the pipes come out, inside and under appliances and furniture, etc. Get creative, go from room to room and put it everywhere you can think of.

Roaches crawl through it, then when they "clean" their antennas by pulling them through their mouths, they consume the boric acid. It chemically alters their body fluids and kills them. Plus, roaches are cannibalistic. Any roach that eats that dead roach will also die from it. It can really help.
