    Floor epoxy ?

Can anyone recommend a good DIY applied floor epoxy ? Will not be used in the living area just in the safe room.

Only advice I got is it's only as good as the prep on the concrete

Had a friend do floors as a side business. He always used the Sherwin Williams. He did say you have to prep the floor or nothing works well.

From what I understand....EPOXY is a chemical reaction between 2 different chemicals. Some brands advertise as epoxy but actually are paint with a small annount of epoxy added to justify the name. I could be totally wrong in this but it's a big difference in how durable a finished product is.

EPOXY is the breakdown of the coating. as in latex, urethane, oil based, water based. J.B. Weld is a Epoxy. plural component is the strongest. water based latex very low on the scale for say walking on top of.

I used the Sherwin Williams product in my garage and have been very impressed. I did rent a concrete grinder from home depot to prep the surface.

How many square feet was your garage and how many kits did it take ? That's the one piece of info I can't get from Sherwin Williams .
Had two different people from two different locations give me wildly different coverage

My armor seal came in today, got the floor ground tonight , still have to do right up against the wall with a hand held grinder.
Will get the first coat done on Saturday
